In 1941 Chevrolet trucks set a sales record for that time - and that does not even include the 5,600 that were made especially for the U.S. Army. Completely redesigned for 1941, this 1/2 Ton Heavy Duty Deluxe Flatbed had a new massive 2-section grille made even more prominent by the lack of a hood ornament. It also featured especially thick bumpers and the new RPO 6-cylinder engine, now increased to 90 horsepower. It is no wonder it set the pace for both civilian and military use. To commemorate the anniversary of the 5-millionth Chevrolet, The Historic Motor Museum Mint has been officially licensed to release a strictly limited, one-time-only special collectors edition of the 1941 Ajax Flatbed truck complete with its cargo of a 1932 Confederate Fire Chief Truck.
